Twenty-three years after the first Mass was celebrated in Bronxville at the Gramatan Hotel in 1905, St. Joseph's Church was completed and dedicated by Cardinal Hayes in 1928. It was then another twenty-three years later when Father Francis X. Scott oversaw the opening of St. Joseph School, debt-free, in 1951.

  PARISH

Saint Joseph School is rooted in its Catholic identity. The connection between the classrooms and the Church is core to instilling the Catholic virtues within the student body. If you are looking to deepen your faith or that of your family beyond the school, you can find many ways to connect, pray, grow and care for the broader community through the resources provided on the Church of St. Joseph site.

  THE FAMILY MASS

Join us for the Family Mass every Sunday at 9:30 AM. SJS mom, Jane Devereux, helps coordinate this effort so that our youth can celebrate the Mass with a faith community of their peers. Being a Lectors (must have made First Communion), gift bearer (no age restriction) and even a member of the Children's Choir (rehearsals on Wednesday at 5 PM) all are wonderful ways to create a spiritual connection.
