Fundraising
Fundraising is a very important part of The Mothers' Club. Without it, we would not have so many wonderful Programs and Events to offer the children of St. Joseph School. Programs that center around Cultural, Educational, Spiritual, and Social enrichment make up the heart of St. Joseph School Mothers' Club. All of these Programs are subsidized through the generosity of school families and parishioners. We are thankful for our many dedicated parents and parishioners who donate generously and volunteer their time effortlessly to help us continue our mission.
Several years ago, the Mothers’ Club approved nearly $70,000 in Grant Programs; these funds were used to expand our iPad Program by purchasing iPads for students in grades 6-7 and supplemental Common Core reading and math books for students in grades K-4. Funds were also used to subsidize class trips, bring authors and assemblies to the school, and begin the school’s Technology Club, to name but a few. Our fundraising goals remain Program driven as we continue to support the curricular and co-curricular needs of our students and teachers.

St. Joseph Parish School Raffle
The grand prize of the St. Joseph Parish School Raffle is $10,000. Tickets are sold during the fall and the winning ticket is usually drawn in late November, before the Christmas holiday. The Raffle Chairs are responsible for coordinate raffle sales to the SJS community and the Parish. Each school family is asked to buy or sell a certain amount of tickets.
B L I N G O
This event is favorite for women of all ages! Family and friends enjoy a "ladies night out" where they play rounds of Bingo and try their luck at raffles to win fun and fabulous prizes. This event is home to MCSJS members and friends!
Spring Gala
Fundraising VPs and event chairs plan our largest fundraiser - an opportunity for parents and SJS supporters to enjoy an evening, catching up with friends and teachers while supporting our school and celebrating the many accomplishments of The Mothers' Club. In addition to soliciting corporate sponsorships and auction items, the event committee plans, designs, and executes this fundraiser, usually held outside of the school. Parents can donate by family or even by class, creating "class baskets" of donated items for the big event. We are very appreciative of all the volunteer parents and donor parents who make this event successful each year.
SJS Apparel
The SJS Apparel store - online and pop-up - offers students and parents school apparel that can worn according to the school handbook.
Mabel's Labels
The Mothers' Club receives a percentage of sales made in support of our organization when items are purchased on the Mabel's Labels website.

Read-A-Thon

Legacy Programs
Pie Sales
This fundraising effort is spearheaded by 1-2 committee chairs who facilitate pie sales through the that gives a percentage of the proceeds back to the school. This event usually takes place before the Thanksgiving holiday so interested parties can buy pies and other baked goods and receive them in time for the holiday. Due to COVID restrictions, the Boutique and Bake could not take place.
Boutique and Bake
In November, the SJS Parish Center is transformed into the Annual Boutique and Bake, a unique shopping experience for the greater SJS community. Vendors set up their pop-up shops in the Parish Center alongside the delectable, homemade baked goods that are also available for purchase. The committee chairs are responsible for meeting with the vendors, setting up the Parish Center, collecting the baked goods from volunteer-baker-parents, and packaging the goods for sale, and scheduling a team of volunteers.
