JUNE-SEPTEMBER 2026:
CAROLINE CURTIN

Summer break is a joyful time when the St. Joseph School community is able to enjoy cherished traditions and make new memories. Our 2026-2027 Mothers’ Club of St. Joseph School (MCSJS) President Caroline Curtin looks forward each year to watching the fireworks on the Fourth of July with family and friends.

Fireworks are a great metaphor for what it takes to be a leader in the MCSJS. As planning for a new school year begins, there is a dark void, an empty calendar. Caroline, as President, will be the spark that ignites the vision for the year. More than that, she understands that a fireworks show is only impressive when the sky is filled with many bursts of colors. As a leader, Caroline appreciates the diversity of talents and ideas that each of the members bring to the table. Finally, after running so many fantastic fundraisers with her team this year, Caroline fully knows that none of those events would be a success without engaging the entire MCSJS community. That is why she took such great care this year in forming a Nominating Committee that was focused on transparency and inclusion. This is what it is all about for Caroline - promoting a culture of caring and growth, finding moments that inspire school spirit, and supporting the programs that enrich the students’ and teachers’ experiences.

As Caroline embarks on this journey, there is no better person to quote than Katy Perry:

“ 'Cause [Caroline], you're a firework

Come on, show 'em what you're worth

Make 'em go, "Oh, oh, oh"

As you shoot across the sky

[Caroline], you're a firework

Come on, let your colors burst

Make 'em go, "Oh, oh, oh"

You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, awe ”

P.S. If all this fire talk has anyone concerned, we are also in luck with Caroline at the helm. We are pretty sure her amazing husband and Deputy Chief of the Mount Vernon Fire Department can come to our aid. 😉
